Kevin Burnell is a distinguished Oil and Gas professional with a profound connection to Alaska since 1998, where his remarkable career began. With a journey that took him from the rugged landscapes of Alaska to the vast expanses of the Middle East and Africa, Kevin has amassed over two decades of experience in the industry. His international tenure includes 12 years of pivotal roles, encompassing diverse assignments across these regions. Concurrently, Kevin has dedicated himself to the wilds of the Alaska Peninsula and the Arctic, serving as a guide since the year 2000. His commitment to the environment was sparked by witnessing the recurrent issue of coastal pollution, driving him to contemplate initiatives for beach cleanup on the shorelines of the Alaska Peninsula and the Aleutian Chain.
Kevin's journey reflects a profound commitment to both his profession and the preservation of Alaska's natural beauty, illustrating a career that not only spans global Oil and Gas development but also champions environmental stewardship. William (Bill) Thorvilson is a seasoned property acquisition, disposition, due diligence, and real estate professional. With an extensive career spanning over 40 years in the real estate industry, Bill's expertise covers a broad spectrum of activities, showcasing his commitment to excellence.
Bill's unique journey in real estate began in residential sales in Boulder, Colorado, where he honed his skills before acquiring the company where he started. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and manage a thriving commercial and residential real estate company, further diversifying his experience in commercial sales, leasing, and property management.
In addition to his roles in ownership and management, Bill has served as a consultant to commercial real estate developers, offering invaluable insights and guidance. His career trajectory took an exciting turn when he accepted the position of Deputy Treasurer for Boulder County. In this capacity, Bill played a pivotal role in resolving significant bankruptcy estates, collecting substantial amounts of tax revenue owed to Boulder County.
Beyond his operational roles, Bill has lent his expertise to various for-profit and non-profit boards, including publicly traded companies. As a licensed attorney in Colorado focusing on real estate law, Bill brings a legal perspective that enriches his comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Richard M. Gundersen – Director Communications & Marketing
Mr. Gundersen is a Director at Alaska Coastline Conservation. Mr. Gundersen founded Gundersen Properties Incorporated a full service property management and Brokerage Company (2005 -2024). Prior to forming Gundersen Properties, Mr Gundersen was a Senior Regional Operations Manager with Developers Diversified Realty Corporation (1999-2005). Mr. Gundersen was also Vice President of PDQ Food Stores Incorporated (1988-1999).
Richard M. Gundersen is a Director with Alaska Coastline Conservation (ACC). As a Director he is responsible for overseeing the Non-Profit. Prior to becoming a Director with ACC Mr. Gundersen sold Real Estate with Coldwell Banker Realty where he holds his Real Estate Brokers License. Prior to working in the Real Estate industry he was a property manager for ACF Property Management where he remodeled strip shopping centers, managed entitlements, designed layouts, managed multiple locations. Other notations include working as a Senior Regional Operations Manager with Developers Diversified Realty. As a manager he operated 34 shopping centers in charge of all operations of each location. Performed oversight on three ground up constructions of strip shopping centers.
Mr. Gundersen started his career with PDQ Development Inc. where he was the Vice President of Real Estate for ten years. He was responsible for new site locating and operations of thirteen convenience locations in Colorado and Nevada.
Mr. Gundersen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an Executive Masters of Business from the University of Colorado Denver. Mr. Gundersen is also a licensed real estate Broker holding a managing brokers license. He has also served on boards of directors for Flatiron Crossing and the Broomfield Colorado Transit Authority.
